Diana Thorneycroft s technically beautiful photographs explore the limits of gender and sexuality, interrogating the body as the centre for our experience of the human condition. Now using surrogates in addition to her own body, her images examine the relationship between technology and self, creating dark, theatrical works of beauty charged with psychic and physical anxiety.
